I searched nearly a dozen assisted living facilities and found Rose to be friendly, efficient and caring for my mother.  From the first visit with Samantha, to the move and ultimately the care givers, the entire experience has been a blessing for my mother and the family.  I can sleep again and not worry about her. Good Morning Mitch -  I hope this note finds you well.  As we move toward the holidays and the new year I decided to take a few minutes to send you a note that is LONG overdue. This time last year my sister, Deb, and I had begun our search for a place to call home for Mom and we were overwhelmed.  After failed attempts to find the right place we got in touch with Dave Holder from Assisted Living Locators and he introduced us to Rose Senior Living. When we walked in the front door we knew this was a community that Mom would enjoy! Our first meeting was with Sam and it solidified what we felt about the community.  Sam made us feel very comfortable and helped us navigate the process.  She was instrumental in getting Mom to her new home and helping us feel good about the tough decisions.  No matter what question we had, Sam was there to listen and get us in contact with the right team lead.  She listened to our needs and showed us the perfect apartment for Mom and Sadie. Ty and his team helped us get Mom's apartment ready by responding to questions and tickets in a timely manner.  We had trouble with getting Mom's Comcast tuner set up to her TV and Ty was right there to make it work!  That may seem a little thing, but as exhausted as we all were... it meant A LOT! Roslyn and her team are amazing, too.  As you know, we didn't have a good experience with previous Dir of Health Services but I wanted to let you know Roslyn is who saved the day for that team! Enter Michael Fulk.  Oh my goodness.  I can't say enough about all he did to assist our family.  New to the scene he was trying to help us unravel a knotted up mess caused by the previous Dir of Health Services and he was amazing.  He felt the full wrath of my Mom's anger when she got a bill at her door (instead of being sent to me) and took it in stride.  He has felt the sting of my angst when a bump in the road caused heartburn for Mom yet he weathered the storm and helped us find an answer.   He made sure that our Insurance Company got what they needed to utilize her Long Term Care Plan and keep Mom and I happy.  He deserves gold stars!! Walking through the lobby one day, I saw a familiar face from our community search.  Jim King.  He is fabulous.  We really liked him when we meet with him at another community and were happy to see him at Rose. He remembered from our visit at the other community that Mom loved to play bridge and he tried to get a bridge game started for her.  ( I have since been told that a bridge game got started, but the participants felt Mom couldn't play well enough so she was excluded. ) Larry Plawecki reached out to let us know there was an issue and then quickly helped us get Mom's records finalized and complete.  We appreciate all of his efforts to clean up the records left in tatters by his predecessor. We appreciate Layce for creating such wonderful calendars full of things to do.  A special thank you to her for her assistance in getting Sadie to the vet the morning Sadie passed away.  It meant a lot. I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to the entire staff for how they surrounded Mom with love and care after Sadie passed away.  Mom loved that pup and it was hard for her to see her sick.  It was very hard when we found out that there wasn't anything else we could do for her. A big thank you to Aurora and Tamika, too.  They are awesome!  We have seen their kindness in action in dealing with Mom regularly. The dining staff... oh my goodness.  They are so sweet! Basically, what I am trying to say is this.... you have assembled an AMAZING team!  I know I've missed someone and missed mentioning great things the team has done.   Well done! Amazing facility and staff!  My mom was in Rose's independent living for a couple of years, but decided to move into a single family home.  Later, when we realized she could no longer live by herself, we moved her back to Rose Senior Living.  She is now in the Assisted Living facility and it's absolutely fantastic. My mom wasn’t doing well at another assisted living facility in Indy but is now thriving! A year ago she was in and out of the hospital with dehydration-related issues and depression but now she is the healthiest and happiest I’ve seen her in years. The staff are attentive and kind. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Their philosophy that being social is a key to a senior’s well-being has made all the difference! Highly recommend!! We recently moved our mother from Woodland Terrace (where she was a resident for seven years but tired of the declining services and lack of adequate staffing) to Rose Senior Living.  The facilities are bright and beautiful (a movie theater, game room, lovely terraces and outdoor spaces, a great gym/fitness center, several dining options....) and very well-maintained.  The offerings for the residents range from organized card games and movies to chair yoga and Tai Chi.  But the biggest asset for us has been the staff.  Our mother is in the assisted living section and her aides are proactive, responsive, caring and generally very cheerful and ready to help with anything.  It was a difficult decision to move but we are very happy with the outcome - AND she's paying less than at Woodland Terrace. A win/win/win.  Keep it up, Rose!  And thank you.
